Teesta gorge and Kanchenjunga from Yutori-Gangri

A Yutori Living home · Mangchu Forest

Yutori-
Gangri

Above the Teesta. Before the snow mountains.

Come into the view

01 / The long view

The horizon
enters the house.

From the balcony, the land falls towards the Teesta. Beyond the layered ridges, Kanchenjunga appears when the sky allows.

02 / The home

Simple, warm
and of this place.

Gangri is not being remade into a generic mountain resort. Its timber rooms, long balconies, shared table and lived-in character are the beginning of the experience.

Arrival and exterior

A home that belongs to the hillside.

Two honest views of the house: its welcoming front and the long, layered building following the slope.

03 / Balconies

A balcony
over the valley.

The river is far below, but it shapes the whole view. Clouds gather and lift through the gorge; the mountains arrive and disappear with the weather.

04 / The changing horizon

The view is never only one view.

The Teesta bends through the gorge, cloud gathers in the folds of the hills, and Kanchenjunga reveals itself only when the sky allows.

Sit outside

Every pause finds a horizon.

The shared balcony looks across the landscape from morning light to the valley lights after dark.

06 / Shared spaces

Stay at the table awhile.

The dining room and covered terrace are the social heart of the house—places for a warm meal, an unhurried conversation and the view beyond the railing.

07 / After dark

The valley
becomes a constellation.

At night, small settlements trace the folds of the hills while the house grows quiet above them.
